    12 Home directories are provided by a clustered NFS server comprised of two SunFire X2100 servers running Solaris 10u6 and Solaris Cluster 3.2.  These devices attach to iSCSI targets which are served by two X4500 servers.  These two targets are combined into a highly fault-tolerant mirror to store user data.  This data is backed up nightly to a tertiary storage array using ZFS and incremental snapshots.  You can read about the backup policies here: [wiki:DataBackup "Data Backups"]
