Data Backups & File Recovery

All data that resides on Circe is replicated on two other servers every night. We maintain 28 days of incremental backups (which means, we can retrieve files going back 28 days) on a mirror host, and one nightly snapshot on a second mirror.

File Recovery

If you need files recovered due to an accidental deletion, try using the snapshot-restore utility.

If the utility was unsuccessful, and you require the recovery of files that were lost up to 28 days ago, you should contact  mailto:support@rc.usf.edu. Please specify the file name, the full path to the file, and how many days ago it would have been available.
